Modern Scandinavian

After a trip to Finland, we at Welch Studio were incredibly inspired by the simplicity of the country’s alpine architecture. At the time, Scandinavian influence had yet to reach Utah, and this simple structure was one of the first. We also pioneered utilizing the living room overhead glass door in the notoriously cold Ogden Valley. The county inspectors hadn’t ever seen anything like it. However, heated radiant flooring along with a streamlined ductless HVAC system, brings this home into the warmth of Scandinavian winter homes. Except this one has a ski boot drying cabinet. We’d say this ski home interior is ready for the slopes!
