The Team
Trained at The Juilliard School and a member of the classical ensemble The 5 Browns, Melody has toured the world for over 20 years, performing in notable venues such as Carnegie Hall, Zaryadye Hall in Moscow, and Suntory Hall in Japan. She has garnered extensive press in the mainstream media (Today show, Tonight show, 60 Minutes) that led to co-authoring a book and being the subject of a critically acclaimed documentary "Digging Through The Darkness" (NY Times Critic's Pick). Both of which increasingly opened her eyes to the impact of writing, filmmaking, and visual art. In addition to shooting and directing music videos, Melody has worked extensively in fashion (collaborating with designer Zac Posen) and interior design (projects featured in Architectural Digest and House Beautiful).
Mentored by an instructor of screenwriting at UCLA, Melody brings raw, expressive musicality to her screenplays. To date, "The Mark of Eve" has reached the final round of the Sundance Development Track, the semifinals of The Writers Lab, and quarterfinals of the Page Awards. Melody is currently working on a short film entitled “Magnum Opus” where she examines the juxtaposition between human and artificial intelligence in what it means to create. Further, she is making time for an episodic script, “America First” that analyzes Charles Lindbergh through the upcoming Transatlantic Centennial lens. All while penning an opera surrounding the 1960s Apollo missions.
